The Bible repeatedly describes God's followers as "sheep," and in many places Himself as a "Shepherd." Join us this Sunday as we explore this unusual metaphor in one of the most profound and beautiful passages in the whole Bible, Psalm 23. And don't forget to bring a friend!
Come join us Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:15 PM as we study the Bible together. We will be studying 1 Corinthians and really delving into the scriptures. In John 1 it says "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." We believe having an intimate relationship with God starts with reading the Bible. We will be here every Wednesday night. We have childcare for all children through age five. We hope to see you all there!
The Bible makes some pretty serious claims: it claims to contain the actual words of the only almighty, all-powerful, creator that placed the stars in the sky, that designed life and everything we see; it claims that we humans turned our backs on our creator and are therefore at odds with him; it makes the claim that without him we are doomed for all eternity; and it makes the claim that there is only one way for us to come back into our rightful and proper relationship with him, and that way is through Jesus Christ. Now, if these claims are true, then that makes the Bible without a doubt, far and away, the most important book ever to exist on planet earth. And if these claims are true, then surely you and everyone you know would want to know that so that you can find your way back to God. The question then is this: Is the bible true? Can I trust it? Why would I believe what is written in it?
Come join us every Thursday morning at 10am to listen to children's bible stories and songs. Jesus says in Matthew 19:14 "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." This is a great opportunity for kids to learn about God and have fun!
